- Provide your postnatal support sessions safely and effectively
- Process payments through Stripe
- Keep basic records of our sessions where clinically appropriate
- Contact you regarding your bookings or sessions
Legal Basis for Processing
We process your personal data on the basis of your consent and the performance of our contract with you. Health-related information shared during sessions is processed on the basis of legitimate interest in providing safe and appropriate care, and in compliance with our obligations under the NMC Code.
How We Store Your Information
Your information is stored securely and is only accessible to The Debrief Midwife. We do not use third party data storage platforms for client information beyond the secure payment processing provided by Stripe.
We retain your information for as long as is necessary to provide our services and comply with any legal obligations, typically no longer than three years after your final session.
Sharing Your Information
We will never sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your information may only be shared in the following limited circumstances:
- Where we are legally required to do so
- Where there is a risk of harm to you, your baby or others, in line with our professional obligations as a Registered Midwife under the NMC Code
- With Stripe solely for the purpose of processing your payment
Your Rights
Under GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of any inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data where there is no legitimate reason to retain it
- Withdraw consent at any time where consent is the basis for processing
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk
